Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, seeks a Materials Manager to lead a 10+ person materials organization. You will drive end-to-end materials processes, including production planning, scheduling, inventory control, and logistics, ensuring regulatory compliance and strong customer delivery performance.

You will develop capacity management, strengthen scheduling performance, and mentor staff while partnering across Operations, Supply Chain, and EH&S to deliver reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
• SAP Experience
• Capacity Planning or equivalent experience
• Leadership experience in manufacturing or supply chain settings

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the inventory plan (Raw, WIP, Finished Goods) aligned with AOP/SFP objectives
• Ensure on-time delivery (OTD) of materials to production lines and customers by managing planning, staging, and fulfillment
• Support quarterly analysis of Excess & Obsolete (E&O), PFEP, EMP and Entitlement with action items
• Coordinate with the manufacturing team to manage changes in production priorities or order modifications
• Champion continuous improvement for material planning, receiving, storage, staging, and WIP control
• Assess workload requirements to ensure adequate staffing and development of employees
• Manage the material strategy to support New Product Introduction to End of Life
• Oversee end-to-end materials process for the site including planning, scheduling, logistics, and delivery commitments
• Accountable for inventory control (cycle counts) and maintaining stock to meet site targets
• Play a key role in manufacturing automation strategy, release strategy, handling methods, and material movement
• Support site SIOP reviews
• Monitor and report on key metrics for the site
