Job summary

San Antonio Water System is seeking a Materials Coordinator to replenish inventory across multiple warehouses and requisition materials for internal customers. The role coordinates cycle counts and supports annual inventories, ensuring all requests align with SAWS purchasing procedures.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of inventory planning experience and knowledge of EOQ, ABC analysis, and inventory management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Three years' inventory planning experience.
• Knowledge of ABC Analysis, Safety Stock, EOQ, and Inventory Management.
• Knowledge of Word and Excel.
• Valid Class C Texas Driver's License.
• Punctual attendance and schedule adherence.

Responsibilities

• Procures stock material and orders non-stock materials using contracts and requisitions.
• Purchases stock materials using credit cards, petty cash, and payment requests.
• Creates item numbers and inputs them into the inventory management software.
• Monitors inventory levels to meet department metrics and objectives.
• Researches discrepancies on stock levels, special order items, receipts and invoices.
• Evaluates supplier performance according to contract requirements for specs, price, and delivery time.
• Creates, modifies, and maintains reports from the software databases.
• Participates in cycle counts and annual inventories.
• Advises internal customers on SAWS purchasing policy and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
