Job summary

The role focuses on developing materials management systems, budgeting, and supervising inventory control activities, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency across city operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, economics, industrial engineering or related field with substitution allowed for experience.
• Five years of verifiable experience planning, developing, implementing, and administering materials management systems.
• Experience must include cost analysis, budget preparation, and supervision of personnel in inventory, distribution or purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor materials management systems, including automated cost, inventory control and physical distribution systems.
• Manage budget for materials, inventory and department operations; write reports and memos; present policies and procedures.
• Plan and supervise physical inventories; reconcile with automated records and identify excess for disposal.
• Direct subordinate staff to ensure effective planning, auditing, timely delivery and cost control.
• Coordinate materials procurement activities with the Purchasing Department and interface data systems across departments.
