Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or HS diploma with 5 years relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, or Inventory Control.
• APICS Certification preferred.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Six Sigma knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize, direct, and control materials management, shipping/receiving, warehousing and inventory control for the plant.
• Lead team performance with metrics, annual reviews, and disciplinary actions.
• Manage inventory levels, safety stocks and cycle counts.
• Lead annual Physical Inventory event for the plant.
• Coach and develop team; foster strong interpersonal communications.
• Monitor supplier performance; participate in quarterly business reviews with corporate purchasing.
• Develop systems to ensure shipments meet customer requirements (method, packaging, labeling).
• Drive improvements for material management and reduce obsolete/excess inventory.
• Collaborate with Scheduler, Quality Control and Operations Manager on scheduling and material flow.
• Participate in COS initiatives: countermeasures, daily tier meetings, kaizen events.
