Job summary

MICA Steelworks in Texas is seeking a Demand Planning Coordinator to manage the flow of materials, resources, and information across manufacturing projects. You will forecast material needs, coordinate with project managers, inventory, procurement, and production to meet deadlines and align with production schedules.

You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely material availability, optimize material usage, and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reductions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associates degree preferred.
• Operational experience in inventory accounting and project management.
• Prior production and inventory experience required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of ERP systems; Global Shop Solutions a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate nesting software to create cutting programs and optimize layouts.
• Forecast project material requirements with managers, procurement, and operations.
• Coordinate material availability with production schedules.
• Align material and resource availability with project timelines.
• Serve as liaison across project management, operations, procurement, logistics, and production.
• Provide regular material status updates to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve material flow and reduce lead times.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Perform other tasks and projects as assigned.
