Job summary

Materion Corporation in the United States seeks a hands-on Planner to develop and execute demand, production and inventory plans to meet sales and service objectives. The role collaborates with Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and others to achieve objectives.

You will establish production plans, monitor inventories, maintain demand, manage WIP with external vendors, and keep production on schedule while addressing backorders and capacity imbalances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (4 year) and at least 1 year of planning/scheduling experience in manufacturing using ERP software.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management.
• Or at least 5 years of manufacturing experience in the specialty metals industry with hands-on SAP experience.
• Export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology per ITAR/EAR.

Responsibilities

• Establish production and inventory plans that balance resources and meet customer requirements.
• Monitor inventories and material movements, report storage and inventory accuracy.
• Maintain new sales and transport order demand to ensure achievable due dates.
• Monitor and maintain all production orders and/or firm planned requirements from creation through completion.
• Manage WIP and scrap at outside vendors to ensure timely completion and priorities.
• Monitor backorders daily and take actions to resolve them where possible.
• Review work center loading vs available capacity with manufacturing to address overloads.

Education

Bachelor’s degree (4 Year) and at least 1 year of planning/scheduling experience within a manufacturing environment utilizing an ERP based software

Bachelor’s degree specific to Supply Chain Management

5+ years of manufacturing experience with SAP
