Job summary

Legrand's Integrated AV division in Warsaw, IN seeks a Buyer/Planner to manage daily procurement and planning for materials, coordinating with vendors and cross-location teams. The role requires analyzing MRP data, placing orders, updating pricing, and maintaining master data in the ERP system.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's degree in business or related field with at least two years in manufacturing purchasing, and possess strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field and 2+ years in purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of MRP-based software systems
• APICS knowledge and Inventory Management familiarity are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and authorize material procurement, warehousing, and distribution; control and scheduling of material flow.
• Place purchase orders to support manufacturing and engineering requirements.
• Update pricing in ERP and maintain accurate purchasing records.
• Resolve supplier quality issues and monitor supplier confirmations.
• Plan future raw material requirements based on forecasts and maintain master data in ERP.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and assist in qualifying new vendors.
• Communicate with leadership on escalations and risk related to material availability.
• Collaborate with other departments to determine materials needed and schedules.
