Job summary

Lotus Bakeries is seeking a Materials and Production Planner for Plant Mebane. You will own daily production scheduling and material replenishment, balancing demand, capacity, and inventory to meet service and cost objectives.

This on-site role requires 5–7 years in planning or purchasing, ERP experience (SAP/Oracle), and collaboration across Procurement, Quality, and Sales. APICS CPIM/CSCP preferred; domestic travel is minimal.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in planning or purchasing.
• Bachelor's Degree in an analytical discipline.
• APICS CPIM/CSCP preferred.
• Experience in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Experience with vendors to plan and execute deliveries.
• Experience with primary and tertiary packaging materials.
• Experience in food and CPG is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage daily production schedules for Plant Mebane.
• Create material replenishment plans using MRP outputs and forecasts.
• Create, release, and manage purchase orders in SAP.
• Monitor open POs, supplier commitments, and deliveries.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders on delivery schedules.
• Analyze inventory performance and driving working capital improvements.
• Monitor production results and adjust plans as needed.
• Serve as liaison between Production, Quality, Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics and Sales.
• Own production orders in SAP and maintain data integrity.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to improve service and costs.
