Job summary

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of team leadership in a production setting, strong SAP experience, and good communication in English (Spanish a plus). Familiarity with GMP and bakery operations is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• At least 5 years of experience leading a small to mid-size team
• Experience in a production facility, ideally FDA-regulated
• Food processing/bakery knowledge is a plus; QA/inspections helpful
• Familiarity with equipment operation and mechanical components
• Must follow GMP hygiene practices
• Strong math skills and basic analytics
• Experience with SAP strongly desired
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• English required; Spanish a plus

Responsibilities

• Guide your team to follow standard work and SOPs to guarantee quality, safety and performance
• Oversee production activity in all assigned areas
• Ensure daily KPIs for safety, quality, scrap and production are met or exceeded
• Coordinate shift start-ups and handovers with prior shift supervisor and maintenance
• Build strong relationships with the technical department and assigned technicians
• Adjust schedules and assignments to cover absences and promote cross-training
• Create training plans for new operators and monitor training quality
• Coach operators to maintain equipment operation and address issues
• Record and escalate equipment or quality non-conformities as needed
• Lead shift labor scheduling and report on daily performance
