Job summary

BD is seeking a Production Planner in USA NC - Mebane to convert rough-cut capacity master schedules into detailed production plans after evaluating material availability and manufacturing capacity. You will collaborate across Manufacturing, Quality, Master Data, Customer Service and Logistics to execute scheduled orders.

This role requires 3–5 years of planning experience, ERP proficiency (SAP/JDE), and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

Associates degree required; bachelor’s preferred in related field.
Experience in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, JDE).
3–5 years manufacturing/planning/scheduling experience.
Understanding of standard manufacturing rates, OEE, capacity analysis.
Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Strong analytical, planning, interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Create/release production orders and coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, Master Data, Customer Service and Logistics.
Own product status and availability timeline from release to in-stock.
Flag supply issues (capacity, material shortages, delays) to Supply Chain network.
Balance work center capacity with material availability and expiry dates.
Provide data for KPIs: schedule compliance, inventory at risk, etc.
Support purchasing, inventory, and shipping as needed.
Maintain SAP data reflecting the supply plan and production schedule.
Collaborate with operations, procurement, and regional supply chain.
