Job summary

Waters is seeking a Production Planner in Mebane, NC to translate rough-cut capacity into a detailed plan, coordinating with Manufacturing, Quality, Master Data, Customer Service and Logistics. You will manage order releases, track product status, and ensure timelines from release to stock, while coordinating with suppliers to address capacity and material availability.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, data analysis for KPIs, and maintaining accuracy in SAP.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in supply chain, business, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience with ERP systems (SAP, JDE).
• 3–5 years of manufacturing planning/scheduling experience.
• Proficient in MS Office; strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and independently.

Responsibilities

• Create/release production orders and partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Master Data, Customer Service and Logistics.
• Own product status and availability timeline from release to stock.
• Report supply performance problems to Supply Chain network.
• Balance capacity with material availability, expiry, and inventory risk.
• Provide data for KPIs and continuous improvements.
• Perform planning, buying, inventory control, and related functions to support site.
• Ensure SAP data accurately reflects the supply plan.
• Support other team members in purchasing, inventory, shipping/receiving.
• Cross-functional activity with operations, procurement, and regional supply chain.
• Create reports to support analytics and performance.
• Lead and participate in projects driving improvements.
