Job summary

Quanta Manufacturing Nashville is seeking a production planning specialist responsible for material supply and work order management. You will determine material readiness, create BOM-informed plans, and drive improvements with engineering and operations to ensure readiness for production.

The role requires 2–4 years in procurement/planning, strong Excel skills, and ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams across regions. Experience with SAP and international sourcing is a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires BS/BA in Materials, Operations, or Business.
• 2–4 years of experience in procurement, planning, and production/capacity planning.
• Understanding of Bills of Materials and work order processing.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Strong problem-solving and independent decision-making in a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for internal/external customers.
• ERP experience; SAP is a significant advantage.
• Experience with international sourcing is preferred.
• Mandarin Chinese ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan material supply and create plans for work orders to meet customer requirements.
• Identify material shortages and report status; track inbound shipments.
• Create production build plans considering capacity and orders.
• Release work orders with clear to build status and optimize capacity use.
• Coordinate release of work orders to ensure material readiness and customer satisfaction.
• Support rework projects by analyzing BOM and generating rework work orders.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to create instructions and ensure readiness.
• Maintain open communications on status and issues with management and teammates.
• Engage in Asia-based calls as needed due to time zone differences.
