Job summary

Aebi Schmidt Group USA is seeking a skilled Material Planner to manage supplier & inventory flow across our manufacturing operations in the United States. You will coordinate MRP, PO management, and supplier performance to maintain optimal stock levels and timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or business, or equivalent materials planning experience in a manufacturing setting.
• 3+ years of material planning expertise in a manufacturing setting.
• A track record of constructing and guiding cross-functional teams.
• Versatile, flexible, and attentive to detail within changing priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• History of effectively handling multiple projects and delivering on time.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned parts and suppliers, including all problem resolutions.
• Develop suppliers to ensure improved delivery performance and inventory control.
• Coordinate engineering changes and build schedules with suppliers and production.
• Maximize customer satisfaction while minimizing surpluses.
• Examine MRP on a daily and weekly basis to produce supplier releases.
• Launch, schedule, defer, expedite, and cancel POs to maintain inventory levels.
• Monitor and update supplier lead times for system accuracy.
• Facilitate suppliers understanding of delivery expectations and materials quantity via reports.
• Proactively confirm delivery and schedules against purchase orders and adjust when necessary.
• Collect shortage reports and tracking firm delivery schedules.
• Obtain realistic delivery dates on shortages and follow up promptly.
• Mitigate the risk of disrupting production by identifying parts shortages in advance.
• Assist with packaging projects by implement returnable packaging programs
• Monitor and manage freight and logistics costs
• Process material requisitions for materials, repair of parts, equipment, and special engineering projects Identify the root causes behind missed deliveries
• Optimize inventory accuracy with VMI, Kanban cards, or Min/Max systems
• Partner with Purchasing, Operations, Finance, and the vendor(s) to identify and implement the appropriate inventory levels, order requirements and quantities, and delivery offsets
• Follow established procedures; initiate and implement improvements
