Job summary

The Aebi Schmidt Group seeks a Material Planning Manager in Bristol, IN, to lead materials planning and MRP-driven operations. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, oversee staff activities, and optimize inventory and supplier performance to meet production goals.

Candidates should have a strong background in manufacturing planning, inventory control, and ERP/MRP systems, with a commitment to excellence and detailed, data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, engineering, or supply chain management (Certifications in APICS, IBF, TPS/Lean and/or Six Sigma training preferred)
• 5 years materials leadership or planning in complex/fast paced materials environment
• Detailed knowledge of manufacturing planning, master production scheduling, product definition, inventory control, materials requirements planning, capacity requirements planning, transportation, and purchasing functions
• Strong background in managing development of planning, logistics and inventory control processes; capable of switching to a new MRP system
• Supervising and motivating subordinates; commitment to excellence; high standards
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Proven project management skills; attention to detail; reliability and accuracy
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP, Aurora, Cori, QlikView and Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Communicate with cross-functional teams, internal customers and suppliers
• Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates
• Establish and maintain department standards for productivity, reliability, and accuracy
• Manage team vacations, timecards, hiring and training
• Maintain knowledge of operating systems for materials and manufacturing teams
• Plan with IT to optimize MRP information and material flow
• Monitor supplier on-time delivery to meet corporate goals
• Ensure customer focus and reduce shortages with corrective actions
• Support annual physical inventory and demand-to-plans conversion
• Control inventory levels and drive turns; reduce obsolete materials
• Oversee supplier on-time delivery evaluation and continuous improvement
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement projects
• Other duties as assigned
