Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation is seeking a Materials Planner to manage the inventory lifecycle of equipment, parts, and assemblies on the manufacturing floor. You will plan requirements, schedule deliveries, expedite overdue items, and ensure accurate inventory and quality records across purchasing, production, and engineering teams.

The role requires coordination with multiple departments and a hands-on approach on the factory floor, using SAP/MRP and related tools to keep material flow uninterrupted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2-4 years material management experience
• Experience with scheduling tools and ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Responsibilities

• Requirements Planning & Scheduling: determine material requirements and set delivery dates based on schedules
• Workflow & Expediting: accelerate material flow and track overdue items to prevent bottlenecks
• Inventory & Quality Control: maintain records and verify material conformance to specs
• Coordination: align with purchasing, production, and engineering on current and future needs
