Job summary

Halter is seeking a Material Supply Planner to own supply for defined components and suppliers. You will work with hardware operations teams to convert demand into material requirements, place and track POs, and keep inventory in healthy shape.

Qualifications

• Experience in hardware/electronics manufacturing with ownership of supply for components or suppliers.
• Strong grasp of material requirements planning, PO management, inventory control, and converting demand into supply.
• Experience with contract manufacturers and understanding factory scheduling and escalation processes.
• Supplier relationships that hold up under pressure and proactive problem-solving.
• Analytical mindset with ability to build insights from supply data, and clear, direct communication.

Responsibilities

• Run the supply plan for defined components, converting forecasts into material requirements.
• Place, manage and track POs, ensuring on-time delivery and early risk flags.
• Execute clear-to-build checks before production and lead recovery from shortages.
• Collaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to expeditate delays at the source.
• Manage inventory to balance production coverage with cash flow.
• Plan supply aspects of engineering changes and new product introductions.
• Maintain transparent supply health reporting on coverage, on-time delivery and inventory.
