Job summary

Halter is seeking a Global Inventory Planner to manage the flow of finished goods from factory to market across multiple regions. You will hold stock targets in all markets, oversee international freight, and optimize cost and lead times while coordinating with production, procurement and logistics teams.

You’ll project stock levels weeks ahead, plan ship routes, and build forwarder relationships to secure capacity.

Qualifications

• Experience planning inventory for a physical product across multiple markets or warehouses.
• Strong understanding of weeks of supply, safety stock, inventory targets, and how forecast/production turn into a shipment plan.
• Experience managing international freight forwarders across air and sea, with insights on cost and lead time.
• Commercial instinct; uses performance data and competitive signals to improve provider results.
• Sharp analytical skills; comfortable building models and reporting from data.
• Strong ownership and follow-through; tracks shipments and positions and closes out processes.
• Clear, direct communication for stakeholders and forwarder escalations.

Responsibilities

• Own the forward view of stock and weeks of supply across markets and warehouses.
• Maintain stock within target for all items and flag when policy needs updating.
• Decide ship routing and allocation; balance supply and demand across markets.
• Oversee international freight from factory to market; select forwarders and manage volumes.
• Negotiate space and lead times with forwarders; maintain competitive lanes.
• Build relationships with forwarders to secure space and expedite delays.
• Create inventory and freight cost reporting by market and lane.
• Plan finished goods through product transitions and new market launches.
