Medical Device Company in San Jose, CA is seeking a Material Planner Buyer with 5+ years of purchasing experience. The role emphasizes SAP with MRP knowledge, Excel proficiency, and supplier management to maintain inventory and meet production schedules. Onsite work and 40 hours per week are required, with remote until site reopens.

The position is a contract on W2 for 12+ months with a 40-hour work week, onsite from 8am‑5pm, and no H1B visas accepted.

Competenze

BS in Supply Chain, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years purchasing experience.
Strong SAP with detailed knowledge of MRP.
Strong Excel, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and macros.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Action oriented with continuous improvement focus.

Mansioni

Review MRP and execute POs, supplier confirmations, and delivery schedules to support production.
Track open POs, supplier confirmations, deliveries, and invoices for quality, cost, and timing.
Generate cost savings through continuous improvement and engineering support.
Plan material requirements to target inventory levels and minimize EE&O.
Disposit EE&O inventories and monitor stock levels.
Negotiate supplier pricing to drive favorable PPV.
Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory, ISO guidelines and policies.
Other duties as required.
