Hillphoenix, a Dover Corp company, is seeking a Buyer to support production scheduling by acquiring supplies and materials and managing supplier relationships.

The role involves issuing purchase orders, expediting deliveries, negotiating terms, and using ERP tools to forecast demand and optimize inventory. Experience in manufacturing and strong Excel/Outlook skills are highly preferred.

Competenze

• Minimum 2 years' purchasing experience.
• Bachelor's degree or 5 years' relevant experience required.
• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook required.
• ERP experience required, Visual & Oracle preferred.
• CPIM certification preferred.
• Lean and / or CI experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Issue POs daily in response to demand signals (Kanban, MRP, Min/Max).
• Expedite deliveries to ensure on-time delivery of components to the production line.
• Mitigate impact of changes in pricing and lead times with other departments.
• Identify alternate materials with engineering to avoid production delays or excess inventory.
• Maintain supplier relations and professional company image through daily communications.
• Use ERP to provide data on demand history for negotiating contracts or quotes.
• Provide forecast of future demand to suppliers based on historical demand and changes.
• Issue debit memos to vendors for returns/rejections.
• Calculate and maintain optimal inventory levels to support safety stock and inventory turns.
• Seasonally adjust purchase volumes to meet objectives.
• Identify root causes of errors in material tracking, BOM accuracy, and UOM conversions.
• Collaborate with finance and engineering to disposition E&O material.
