Job summary

Astronics PECO in Clackamas, Oregon is seeking a Master Scheduler to own the master production schedule across multiple programs, translating demand, forecasts, and inventory strategy into a capacity-constrained plan.

You will collaborate with engineering, planning, and operations to monitor production execution and establish scheduling policies in ERP/MRP, driving continuous improvement through standard work and RCCP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
• 5-7 years production experience as a Planner or Master Scheduler.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel and/or PowerBI for data analysis.
• Intermediate ability to read technical documents (prints, Work Instructions, Bills of Material).
• Lean concepts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the master production schedule and production plan for multiple programs/Product groups, balancing customer demand with capacity and supply chain constraints in alignment with the SIOP process.
• Reviews and maintains forecasts from various stakeholders, including account management, engineering and Project management.
• Lead rough-cut capacity planning (RCCP) to validate schedule feasibility against labor, equipment, and material constraints; escalate CRP needs as necessary.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Planning, and Operations to monitor production execution and develop contingency plans for disruptions.
• Establish and maintain scheduling policies, planning horizons, time fences, and lot-sizing rules within the ERP/MRP system; ensure data integrity and schedule accuracy.
• Drive integration of Engineering Change Management into the production schedule with minimal disruption to throughput and highlight changes to Planning & Production.
• Create and update standard work, guidelines, and work instructions for Master Scheduling processes.
