Job summary

Astronics Corporation is seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to own the Master Production Schedule across programs, translating demand into a capacity-constrained plan. You’ll link Sales, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Operations, guiding planners and collaborating with leadership to keep production on schedule.

Responsibilities include RCCP/CRP, job promising, daily schedule recovery, ERP/MRP policy setting, and mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• > 8+ years of direct experience in production/master scheduling within manufacturing.
• > APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
• > Strong judgment and decision-making in complex situations.
• > Data analysis to identify root causes and drivers.
• > Creative thinker with process improvement mindset.
• > Comfortable providing consultation to management on technical topics.
• > Able to navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities.
• > Natural mentor to planning staff.

Responsibilities

• > Develop and maintain the master production schedule for multiple programs, balancing demand with capacity.
• > Lead rough-cut capacity planning (RCCP) and escalate CRP needs as required.
• > Review orders and forecasts to confirm shipment dates and coordinate with teams.
• > Lead daily/weekly production meetings and drive schedule recovery.
• > Establish scheduling policies, horizons, and lot-sizing in ERP/MRP.
• > Incorporate ABC/XYZ into the production plan.
• > Release work orders including rework and RMAs.
• > Guide Engineering Change Management into the schedule.
• > Create and update standard work and work instructions.
• > Mentor and escalate scheduling conflicts for staff.
