Job summary

Leatherman Tool Group in Portland, OR is seeking a Master Production Scheduler to own the MPS and forward-looking supply plan. You will translate demand and constraints into a capacity-validated plan for our manufacturing operation.

You’ll analyze, model scenarios, influence decisions, and continuously improve planning with AI-enabled tools, working across Demand Planning, Production Scheduling, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Logistics, Engineering, and Sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years planning experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of master production scheduling, capacity planning, inventory management.
• Ability to evaluate tradeoffs and advise on planning decisions with incomplete data.
• Cross-functional communication and influencing skills.
• Experience with advanced planning software and ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel and data-analysis skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O preferred.
• ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification strongly preferred.
• CPIM/CSCP or ERP certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the Master Production Schedule across the planning horizon.
• Coordinate RCCP and evaluate capacity, materials, suppliers, and inventory.
• Lead monthly Supply Feasibility Review and stress-test production plans.
• Develop supply scenarios and communicate tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations.
• Evaluate MPS change requests while protecting schedule stability and service levels.
• Recommend solutions including overtime, prebuilding, alternative routings, outsourcing, expediting.
• Partner with Demand Planning, Production Scheduling, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Logistics, Engineering, Sales.
• Monitor finished-goods inventory, production requirements, and customer-service risks.
• Develop and monitor planning KPIs (MPS attainment, forecast accuracy, capacity utilization).
• Improve master-scheduling methodologies, planning policies, ERP capabilities, and data quality.
• Develop and apply AI-enabled tools to accelerate planning analysis and reporting.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert and trusted planning partner throughout the organization.
