Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking a Principal Project Manager in Growth Strategy and Execution to oversee large-scale initiatives with budgets of $5M+ across multiple delivery portfolios. This role partners with business and technical owners to deliver key outcomes and capabilities, developing and monitoring budgets, forecasts, and dashboards throughout delivery.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree or HS diploma with 4 years relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Requires 10 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience leading large-scale enterprise projects ($5M+), cross-functional teams, and budget accountability.
• Healthcare payer knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage large-scale, complex projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Operate at a strategic business level to align initiatives with organizational goals.
• Develop the project charter, integrated project plan, resource plan, risk plan, and test plan.
• Validate financial forecasts and reconcile resources and expenditures.
• Build, lead, and coach multiple project teams, modeling Blue Shield of California values.
• Define milestones and deliver an integrated delivery plan.
• Evaluate trade-offs between initiative size, cost, risk and value.
• Integrate vendors as part of end-to-end solutions.
• Facilitate readiness activities across the lifecycle of initiatives.
