Marick Mechanical, an Orion Services Group company, seeks a General Manager for the St. Louis market.

This on-site leadership role is responsible for the overall performance of the business, including growth, profitability, customer retention, safety, and team leadership. The GM translates the annual plan into disciplined market-level execution across service, construction/projects, maintenance, and sales activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management, operations, or a related field is required or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated leadership with accountability for market performance including revenue, gross margin, and cash.
• Strong forecasting, budgeting, and project economics knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Own market performance against the annual operating plan, including bookings, revenue, gross profit, operating income, labor productivity, overhead, maintenance base, sales activity, and customer retention.
• Develop and execute the annual market plan in partnership with the President, identifying growth priorities, resource needs, operating risks, and actions required to achieve commitments.
• Review market financial performance regularly; identify variances, root causes, and corrective actions before issues materially affect results.
• Maintain strong cash discipline by monitoring billing, accounts receivable, collections, purchasing, and cost-to-complete.
• Establish pricing, approval, and commercial discipline to protect margin while remaining competitive.
