Job summary

K&L Gates is seeking a Market Development Specialist to join our Pittsburgh, Miami, New York, or Newark offices. Reporting to a Business Development Manager or Director, the role supports marketing and client development initiatives for firm-wide practice areas and industry groups, coordinating with lawyers and practice managers to deliver strategic campaigns.

Ideal candidates will have outstanding written and oral communication, strong project management, and experience with CRM systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
• Excellent oral and written communication; ability to write and produce compelling proposals, collateral, research reports and client-facing presentation materials.
• Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated service orientation.
• Advanced computer skills with Word, PowerPoint, Excel; InterAction CRM knowledge a plus.
• Good judgment, decision-making and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support marketing and client development projects for practice groups and offices.
• Prepare and deliver client-focused proposals, qualifications, and presentation materials in response to RFPs.
• Draft, edit and proof marketing collateral, slide decks, letters and biographies.
• Maintain CRM contact lists and practice group experience lists.
• Coordinate events and marketing communications; track activities in firm systems.
