Job summary

UIC Bowhead Transport LLC seeks a Marine Transportation Project Manager to oversee marine transportation projects, coordinating vessel operations, cargo movements, crews, vendors, and customers across Alaska.

Responsibilities include strategic leadership, schedule development, budgeting, risk management, and ensuring safety, quality, and contractual compliance while delivering projects on time and within budget. Travel to remote Alaska locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in marine transportation, marine operations, logistics, project management, cargo operations, or a related field.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management experience with the ability to organize, coordinate, and direct multiple phases of marine transportation projects.
• Knowledge of vessel scheduling, cargo movement, logistics, port operations and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership, direction, coaching, and support to marine operations and project personnel.
• Oversee and coordinate marine transportation projects, including vessel movements, cargo operations, mobilization and demobilization.
• Maintain regular communication with customers to provide project updates and ensure expectations are met.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, voyage plans, cargo movement schedules, and timelines.
• Review project scope, cargo requirements, vessel capabilities, and port restrictions to plan execution.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and financial trends to ensure projects stay within parameters.
• Coordinate with ports, terminals, vendors, subcontractors, customers, and regulatory representatives.
