Job summary

Panelmatic, Inc. is seeking a materials and purchasing professional to procure parts and materials for production and maintain stock inventory.

You will manage purchase orders, expedite deliveries, monitor inventory levels, and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries. The role requires several years of experience in materials management, manufacturing, and financial accounting, along with strong negotiation and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required.
• Three-plus years of experience in materials management.
• Three-plus years of experience in manufacturing.
• Three-plus years of experience in financial accounting.
• Three-plus years of experience using an ERP system to plan and procure material.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels within the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve goals.
• Experience with material expediting and solving supply issues.
• Strong analytical skills.
• US work authorization without sponsorship required.

Responsibilities

• Procure high-quality material at the lowest possible price and in correct quantities.
• Develop and ensure all elements of purchase commitments with required approvals.
• Review requisitions, prepare and process purchase orders.
• Maintain ideal inventory levels and reorder as needed to optimize turns and cost.
• Review order acknowledgments for item, cost and delivery date accuracy; update systems accordingly.
• Expedite or de-expedite deliveries as required.
• Monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and trace if issues arise.
• Collaborate with staff, users and suppliers to resolve defects and take corrective action.
• Source and provide material costs and availability to estimating, sales and engineering teams.
• Provide recommendations on materials to improve availability and reduce costs.
• Build and maintain good supplier relationships and teamwork.
• Perform daily administrative tasks and assist in annual physical inventory or cycle counting.
• Other duties as assigned.
