Job summary

Port Erie Plastics, a long-established plastics manufacturer in Harborcreek, PA, seeks a dynamic Controller to lead the finance function as a senior financial executive and strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team.

You will oversee core accounting operations, ensure GAAP compliance, manage cost accounting, budgeting, and ERP systems while delivering actionable financial reporting. Lead a five‑person team and collaborate across departments to optimize margins and cash flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• US GAAP knowledge required with external audit experience preferred.
• 10+ years in accounting/finance leadership roles.
• Background in inventory-driven manufacturing beneficial.
• Experience with cost accounting and ERP-driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead all core accounting operations.
• Ensure US GAAP compliance and manage external audits.
• Oversee cost accounting, standard costing, BOM integrity, variance analysis.
• Develop and enforce internal controls and accounting policies.
• Lead annual budgeting and long-range planning.
• Manage the IQMS ERP system and related financial data.
• Deliver timely, accurate financial reporting to leadership.
• Manage a team of five accounting and IT professionals.
• Oversee cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and treasury functions.
