Confidential Careers is seeking a hands-on Controller to partner with a personable CFO and drive financial strategy in a midsized healthcare-related manufacturing company.

You will lead the accounting team through GAAP reporting, audits, and close processes while collaborating with PE owners and executive management. The role emphasizes cost control, product costing, and continuous improvement across plant operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with private equity or holding-owned companies is a must.
• Strong GAAP accounting background with monthly close and reporting.
• Manufacturing industry experience is highly preferred.
• Proven track record in cost accounting and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare GAAP financial statements and reports for owners, lenders and executives.
• Lead accounting team; collaborate with auditors and optimize the team’s performance.
• Interface with department leaders to deepen internal and external partnerships.
• Direct and validate labor, inventory, receipts, scrap, variances, fixed assets and journal entries; reconcile balance sheets monthly.
• Identify reporting discrepancies and resolve system/process issues.
• Analyze monthly plant results and implement cost-reduction measures; explain variances.
• Ensure product costing integrity and focus on product-line improvements.
