Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group is seeking a hands-on Controller to build and lead the accounting function for a growing manufacturing organization in Denver, CO. You will establish policies, implement systems, and prepare for the first financial audit while partnering with operations and engineering to scale financial processes.

The role requires a CPA and 12+ years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on cost and manufacturing accounting, plus ERP implementation expertise.

Qualifications

• CPA certification is required.
• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong cost accounting and manufacturing accounting experience required.
• Experience leading ERP implementations or major financial system transitions.
• Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage internal accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
• Establish accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support a rapidly scaling organization.
• Develop and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process with clear timelines and accuracy standards.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and manage the first external financial audit.
