NorthPoint Search Group is recruiting a hands-on Controller for a growing manufacturing organization in Denver, CO. The role builds and leads the accounting function, establishes policies, oversees financial reporting, and drives ERP implementation.

Candidates should bring 12+ years in accounting, CPA, strong cost and manufacturing accounting, and deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls. The position offers a base salary of $200,000–$235,000 with bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• CPA required.
• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong cost accounting and manufacturing accounting experience.
• Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage internal accounting operations including general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, and reconciliations.
• Establish accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls for a rapidly scaling organization.
• Develop and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with clear timelines.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Lead preparation for the company’s first external financial audit.
• Oversee ERP implementation and act as finance lead for system transitions.
• Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and engineering to ensure accurate data flow.
• Guide capital project spending tracking and asset capitalization processes.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing accounting team.
