Job summary

Venteon is seeking an experienced Controller in Plymouth, Michigan to lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for a global manufacturing client. You will supervise accounting functions, drive standard costing, and provide insights to optimize gross profit and product costing across divisions.

The successful candidate will have a CPA or equivalent, a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, and 3+ years as a Controller, with SAP ERP familiarity and strong communication skills to collaborate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA or equivalent professional experience required.
• MBA is a plus.
• Experience as Controller or equivalent (3+ years).
• Familiarity with SAP ERP.

Responsibilities

• Monitor profitability across product lines with focus on gross profit.
• Maintain standard costing system and product cost bridge.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Analyze financial results and variances for insights.
• Supervise AR, AP, GL, and asset accounting.
• Prepare financial statements and monthly reports.
• Collaborate with department heads to monitor performance.
• Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Provide financial guidance for strategic initiatives and investments.
• Support IT financial administration and ERP implementations.
• Ensure timely reporting aligned with group standards.
• Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor performance.
• Participate in cross-functional projects including M&A and digital transformation.
