Job summary

voestalpine Railway Systems Nortrak in Chicago Heights, IL seeks a Plant Controller/Senior Cost Controller to lead cost accounting, budgeting and profitability analyses for the facility. You will partner with the Plant Manager and VP Controlling to drive financial planning and cost optimization.

The role requires strong manufacturing accounting experience, advanced Excel and ERP knowledge, and the ability to deliver timely reports and insights that support production decisions and strategic

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business or Finance; CPA/CMA asset but not required.
Minimum of 3 years accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing.
Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence decisions.

Responsibilities

Complete month-end procedures and internal management reports.
Analyze profitability by product, project and customer and lead monthly reviews.
Prepare budgets, monitor results and assist with cost-saving initiatives.
Collaborate with Purchasing, HR and Sales to optimize costs and overhead.
Ensure costing accuracy; manage inventory and labor variance analyses.
