Job summary

TekniPlex is seeking a Senior Capital Manufacturing Project Manager to lead end-to-end capital projects in our manufacturing environments, typically USD $2–20M, from concept to commissioning. You will build charters, budgets, and risk plans while ensuring GMP compliance and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Ideal candidates have 10–15 years in capital projects within manufacturing, with PMP and a background in engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline).
• 10–15 years of progressively responsible experience in capital project management within a manufacturing environment (consumer goods, healthcare, or pharmaceutical preferred).
• Proven track record in delivering complex, multi-million-dollar projects in GMP or regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of major capital projects (typically USD $2–20M) from concept through commissioning and handover.
• Develop and manage project charters, business cases, scope, budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation plans.
• Adherence to and development of Communication Standards.
• Oversee procurement processes for capital equipment, ensuring cost efficiency and technical compliance.
• Technical specification creation for manufacturing equipment platforms & processes.
• Partner with operations, R&D, supply chain, and finance to prioritize and plan annual capital budgets.
• Translate business needs into project objectives and technical solutions that drive productivity, capacity, and compliance.
• Provide regular updates to senior management and governance committees on project status, financial performance, and risk exposure.
• Supervise and mentor direct reports, fostering skill development and accountability.
• Promote a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement in project execution.
• Lead post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and improve capital project methodologies.
