Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or other relevant area.
  • CPM Certification or APICS Certification.
  • At least 8 years of progressive purchasing experience.
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Must be very metric oriented and used to a high accountability environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a department of 5 people to insure that raw materials, supplies, and services are purchased at the lowest possible price.
  • Provide leadership to internal department and direct efforts with all departments to make sure product arrives when needed
  • Negotiate pricing for raw materials, supplies and services.
  • Source new suppliers that meet cost, quality and delivery requirements
  • Ensure all PO procedures and followed with proper approvals
  • Make sure everything is up to date and accurate in ERP system
