Job summary

Innovative Controls Systems (ICS), part of OPW VWS, seeks a procurement professional to ensure on-time delivery and quality of components. You will negotiate with suppliers, issue RFQs, manage POs, and coordinate with production, engineering and operations to meet supply needs.

The role emphasizes Lean practices, ERP usage, and strong communication skills, with opportunities for growth in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years purchasing experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is required.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and Windows software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• International purchasing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality and on-time delivery of purchased parts and services.
• Negotiate with vendors to optimize price, quality, and delivery.
• Issue RFQs and evaluate suppliers on price, lead time, and overall value.
• Create, release, and monitor purchase orders and supplier commitments.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and operations on supply needs.
• Expedite production parts in exceptional situations.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
