Job summary

Sensient Technologies Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Planner and Scheduler to work with the Maintenance Supervisor. The role supports technicians, vendors, and contractors, ensuring cost-effective parts and timely maintenance using AMMS, with a focus on PMs and work orders.

You will plan, schedule, and oversee maintenance activities, manage supplier relationships, and forecast inventory while aligning with project needs and budgets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' of work experience in a manufacturing environment, with planning, purchasing, scheduling, or accounting involvement.
• Proficient in JDE, AMMS, Outlook and Excel.
• Knowledge of plant equipment (pumps, motors, instrumentation).
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and set priorities.
• Strong documentation, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and supervise preventative and corrective maintenance to maximize utilization and minimize downtime to operations.
• Manage and develop supplier/vendor relationships to ensure cost effective purchasing.
• Ensure spare parts are available within short lead times at the most competitive prices (while adhering to quality and safety standards).
• Own Maintenance inventory levels and forecast maintenance work to balance supply levels.
• Own responsibility for AMMS for the work order and preventative maintenance process, with equipment records.
• Own purchasing for the completion of maintenance activities and miscellaneous plant items.
• Work closely with Project Managers to determine availability of maintenance crafts to assist in delivery of new assets and capital projects.
• Develop, train, and supervise maintenance technicians in a 24/7 operation.
• Report maintenance activities and budgets to plant leadership and corporate functions.
