Job summary

Alamance Foods Inc. in Burlington, NC is seeking a Maintenance Planner & Scheduler to improve equipment reliability by creating detailed plans, coordinating weekly schedules, and analyzing downtime data.

You will work with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, and other plant teams to focus resources on the highest-priority work. The role requires an associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3+ years in maintenance planning or reliability.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial maintenance, manufacturing technology, data analytics, or related field preferred.
• Three or more years of experience in maintenance planning, maintenance supervision, reliability, engineering, or manufacturing operations preferred.
• Experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
• Experience in food, beverage, dairy, consumer packaged goods, or another regulated manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed job plans for preventive, corrective, predictive, and project-related maintenance work.
• Define labor, hours, tools, equipment, parts, safety requirements, permits, and steps for planned maintenance activities.
• Review incoming work requests and verify information before adding to backlog.
• Conduct field inspections and coordinate with technicians, supervisors, operators, engineers, and vendors to define job scope.
• Ensure parts, materials, drawings, manuals, and resources are available before Work Orders & PMs.
• Create and maintain standard job plans for recurring maintenance activities.
• Maintain an organized backlog of maintenance work.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs based on condition, failure history, and risk.
• Develop weekly and daily maintenance schedules based on priorities and resources.
• Facilitate scheduling meetings with stakeholders.
• Coordinate downtime, access, contractors, and changeovers with planners.
• Balance labor across preventive, corrective, projects, and emergency work.
