Job summary

Dessert Holdings in Pembroke, NC is seeking a Maintenance Planner to own maintenance planning and scheduling in our bakery facility. You will join the plant leadership to drive reliability, ensure food safety, and implement standard work across equipment and processes.

The role requires CMMS experience, mechanical and electrical know-how, and a willingness to work overtime. Competitive salary and benefits accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with Master Data and CMMS systems.
• Must have Mechanical and Electrical experience and understanding.
• Must have experience leading and owning RCA processes and systems.
• Must understand identification of component failure modes and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Ability to understand Total Cost of Ownership and coach maintenance teams on changes to standards.
• Must record all maintenance work within CMMS and follow CMMS procedures.
• Flexible schedule and willingness to work overtime including weekends.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic PC skills.
• FEMA/RCM development and implementation familiarity.
• Working knowledge of ovens, bakery equipment, and packaging equipment.
• AIB Bakery Equipment training is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Own the Maintenance, Planning and Scheduling system (CMMS) for the plant.
• Review all incoming approved work orders ensuring safety, materials, people, tools, and timing are included.
• Maintain CMMS assets with BOMS, PMS and critical spare parts.
• Drive reliability improvements by focusing on top losses in daily direction meetings.
• Manage spare parts process and safety stock levels and maintenance strategies.
• Create and publish the weekly plant maintenance work plan.
• Collaborate with Maintenance manager on 30/90 day actions to meet metrics.
• Ensure quality systems are followed (SQF, HACCP, GMP) and maintain safe production.
• Document all maintenance activity in CMMS and support the PM program.
