Job summary

Merck in West Point, PA is seeking a Maintenance Planner- Specialist Engineering to coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for complex facilities. You will assign work orders, develop detailed plans, manage CMMS data, monitor spare parts, and collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure safe, compliant, and on‑time execution.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Science/Engineering or equivalent experience, 3 years of manufacturing experience, knowledge of large industrial

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Three (3) years of manufacturing or maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of large industrial equipment (fans, pumps, air handlers).
• Strong computer skills (CMMS, Excel).
• Knowledge of safety hazards and precautions applicable to work.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assign codes to work orders and plan maintenance work.
• Perform field inspections and define job scopes.
• Develop work plans for efficient scheduling and execution.
• Maintain plant history files and update CMMS records.
• Perform purchasing duties and stage materials/tools.
• Support safety culture and GMP/safety regulations.
• Provide technical assistance to maintenance personnel.
• Prepare reports and coordinate with stakeholders.
