Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Reliability Planning Analyst to support a team of technicians in a manufacturing, warehouse/distribution and office environment. The role focuses on planning and scheduling labor, parts and tools to improve productivity and quality.

Responsibilities include coordinating work orders, developing job plans, defining materials, ensuring safety, and communicating with maintenance and operations to optimize resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent
• Two years of Facility Planning experience
• U.S. citizenship or ability to work without sponsorship
• Proficiency in a CMMS such as Maximo or SAP

Responsibilities

• Upholds safety, health, and environmental procedures; communicates directly; and supports EHS policies to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and site rules
• Acts as the principal liaison between the maintenance department and operation planning
• Maximizes resources by identifying parts, materials, tools, external services, rentals and documentation by establishing, maintaining and improving the maintenance planning and scheduling flow
• Receives and reviews all planned work orders from requesting departments; verifies proper information
• Examines planned work orders to determine scope and best practices to accomplish work
• Identifies work requiring engineering and design and reviews with proper entities
• Escalates issues to Reliability Manager for work needing special tools or approvals
• Develops full scope and cost estimates for maintenance activities
• Prepares job plans for scheduling with parts, materials, tools and documentation
• Performs root cause analysis for continuous improvement
• Initiates and implements best practices in planning/scheduling maintenance
• Analyzes unplanned work orders for corrective/preventive actions
• Ensures maintenance personnel understand work instructions and close completed work orders
• Prepares reports and analyzes data for improvement of plant operations
• Maintains CMMS and tracks work orders, backlog and spare parts
• Coordinates with Site Maintenance Manager and Operations for workforce scheduling
• Develops system of planned job packages for recurring tasks
• Creates a Bill of Material and procures parts for efficiency
