Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal in Houston seeks a Senior Associate for the Sports, Media & Entertainment M&A and Performance Improvement practice. You will support private equity and corporate clients through the full transaction lifecycle, including integration and carve-out, delivering value through performance improvement.

Expect extensive financial modeling in Excel, client interactions, and leadership across multiple workstreams.

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years of professional experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development, preferably with an M&A focus in the SM&E space.
• MBA or comparable advanced degree preferred.
• Flexibility to travel up to 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Identify key client issues and own deliverables across workstreams to drive value.
• Leverage advanced financial modeling and Excel to analyze large datasets and develop actionable recommendations.
• Lead client interactions, run working sessions, and present findings to executives.
• Own and maintain deliverables such as synergy and performance‑improvement models, cost models, and integration trackers.
• Coordinate across workstreams and mentor team members.
