Job summary

Cardinal Health seeks a Director of Corporate Development to lead M&A deal execution, upstream strategic planning and negotiations, partnering with executive leadership and cross-functional teams. You will drive deal strategy, due diligence, financial modeling and valuation, and structure transactions with Tax/Legal/Treasury.

This role also covers integration planning and divestiture considerations across a nationwide organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or related field preferred.
• 6+ years’ experience in corporate development, mergers & acquisitions, investment banking, private equity, strategy or finance preferred
• Direct experience executing M&A transactions from start to finish, utilizing strong financial capabilities and project management skills, including negotiation experience and ability to work effectively with functional experts from Legal, Tax, Accounting, Treasury, etc. to appropriately structure complex transactions
• Direct experience with M&A valuation and financial modeling, sufficient to lead, coach, and develop team of dedicated valuation and project management resources

Responsibilities

• Develop deal strategy with analysis of inorganic priorities and market conditions.
• Conduct due diligence and inform integration planning.
• Build financial models and valuation analyses to assess ROI.
• Structure deals with Tax, Legal, Accounting and Treasury teams.
• Support communications with Cardinal Health leadership and obtain approvals.
• Plan integration and separation strategies for transactions.
