Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment in San Mateo, CA seeks an Associate, Corporate Development to identify inorganic growth opportunities through acquisitions, investments or JVs. You will build financial models, present business cases, and drive cross‑functional due diligence.

The role offers executive exposure and the opportunity to influence strategic transactions in a fast‑moving tech and entertainment landscape.

Qualifications

• 2 years of M&A experience (investment banking, private equity, or corporate development).
• Experience evaluating inorganic growth opportunities, including identifying key strategic themes and building financial models and presentations.
• Strategic, quantitative, and financial modelling skills, including the ability to structure the rationale for M&A recommendations with data and valuation analyses.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and execute strategic transactions for SIE.
• Provide market insights to support strategy and M&A activities.
• Construct business cases and prepare detailed valuation models for potential transactions.
• Prepare presentations which outline the strategic rationale for transactions.
• Participate in cross functional due diligence processes and provide project management from due diligence through signing/closing and into integration.
• Present business cases to senior management for project approval.
• Collaborate closely with the post-merger integration and operations team to ensure successful transaction outcomes.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across SIE and across the other Sony businesses to facilitate discovery of opportunities and alignment on projects.
• Support other adjacent areas within the team, including investor relations & capital markets and strategy related projects.
