Job summary

R+L Global Logistics is seeking a Supply Chain Consultant to cultivate and expand relationships with existing customers and develop larger accounts. The role involves creating strategy and supply chain solutions to meet client needs, with a focus on delivering outstanding service and value.

You will work with cross-functional teams, prepare quotes, and participate in quarterly business reviews to drive growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work in logistics and transportation, incl. third-party TL, supply chain, events setup, final mile
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education plus work experience
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to build trust with customers
• Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, complex environment
• Experience in multiple freight modes (dry van, expedited, flatbed, intermodal)
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently

Responsibilities

• Acquire and develop new business
• Cultivate relationships with existing customers to expand accounts
• Create and drive a business plan that meets sales goals
• Maintain knowledge of services, resources, and competitive landscape
• Present services to customers to build comprehensive logistics solutions
• Build strong customer relationships and identify trends for proactive solutions
• Prepare quotes to meet monthly and quarterly targets
• Coordinate with Capacity Procurement to ensure loads are serviced as promised
• Communicate with Capacity and carriers about issues
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with customers
• Schedule face-to-face meetings to introduce additional services
