Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) seeks a seasoned procurement professional to review requisitions, obtain quotes, analyze proposals, and negotiate contracts across MRO, services, and raw materials. You will manage blanket orders, monitor vendor quality, and optimize inventories to control total costs.

The role requires a BS in business/engineering/supply management and at least five years in purchasing, with strong communication and planning abilities.

Qualifications

• BS degree in business, engineering, or supply management related major plus five years' experience in purchasing or related field.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to plan and execute.
• Experience in negotiations of large volume procurement contracts.
• Professional certification or ability to attain.
• Computer skills a must.

Responsibilities

• Review and process requisitions, obtain quotations, conduct analysis of proposals, negotiate, maintain knowledge of and select vendors, develop blanket orders and contracts.
• Monitor vendor total quality and determine appropriate inventories to assure optimum total costs in the MRO, Services and/or Raw Materials area.
• Reconcile Accounts Payable issues and manage/coordinate procurement activities including chemical logistics as described.
