Job summary

DSV in the USA Northlake site seeks an Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day warehousing, inbound/outbound planning, and staff supervision. You will drive efficiency, safety, and service levels while managing budgets and client relationships.

Responsibilities include hiring, training, and performance evaluations, ensuring SOP adherence, and coordinating with HR to develop the workforce. A focus on continuous improvement and cost savings is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• 7 years of experience in logistics/distribution; 5+ years in supervision.
• Proven ability to manage warehousing, receiving, and shipping operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop systems and procedures for safe, profitable operations.
• Meet productivity and service goals; comply with client SLAs.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
• Meet client KPIs and quality system requirements.
• Lead performance management, coaching, and training.
• Collaborate with HR on hiring and development plans.
• Assign duties, review workload, and optimize space utilization.
• Communicate progress to senior management and clients.
