Ryder is a leading global logistics and transportation provider seeking a Logistics Manager to plan and direct daily fleet operations while improving productivity and efficiency.

The role requires leadership of dispatch staff, drivers, and owner operators, plus strong communication to optimize vehicle utilization and costs. Eligible for comprehensive benefits and growth within a Fortune 500 company.

Formación

• H.S. diploma/GED is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field.
• 2+ years managing and leading direct reports.
• Advanced knowledge of transportation and/or warehouse logistics operations.
• Advanced knowledge of safety and security requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Responsible for all aspects of the daily fleet operation.
• Develops policies, programs, and procedures for efficient operations of transportation systems and terminals.
• Sets schedules, routes, and assigns drivers and vehicles.
• First point of contact for operational information including store delivery services and driver concerns.
• Submits recommendations for development of compliance with transportation policies, procedures, and programs.
• Conducts continuous analysis of vehicle and driver schedules to increase efficiency and to lower costs.
• Reviews and analyzes reports such as revenue and performance records to evaluate productivity and for recommended changes.
• Recruits, orients, trains, and monitors progression of new drivers.
• Monitors turnover, evaluates operation mileage, equipment, time off and pay, and develops turnover-reduction programs.
• Enforces compliance and administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, and government regulations.
• Directs operation and maintenance of equipment and communication systems; provides guidance to resolve technical problems.
