Job summary

Connect Search, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support purchasing and inbound transportation at our western suburbs facility. This onsite role collaborates with Purchasing, Shipping & Receiving, Accounting, suppliers, and carriers to ensure materials arrive on time and records are accurate.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving and follow-through skills.
• Associate degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred; high school diploma acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain purchase orders, confirm delivery dates, and follow up with suppliers on open orders.
• Schedule inbound freight and receiving appointments using the transportation management system, including Argus TMS.
• Coordinate deliveries with Shipping & Receiving based on facility capacity and operational needs.
• Monitor shipments and communicate delays, appointment changes, and potential material shortages to the appropriate teams.
• Reconcile receiving records with purchase orders and supplier invoices; investigate quantity, pricing, freight, and documentation discrepancies.
• Partner with Accounting to obtain missing records and support timely invoice processing.
• Maintain the inventory adjustment log and follow adjustments through completion.
• Coordinate material samples, organize laboratory documentation, and distribute weekly lab pass/fail reports.
• Update purchasing, freight, inventory, and cost-per-pound reports.
• Participate in logistics meetings and maintain clear communication with suppliers, carriers, brokers, and internal departments.
• Recommend improvements to purchasing, receiving, scheduling, and documentation processes.
