Job summary

Magnolia State Bank seeks a motivated Lending Officer to originate and close complex loans, including consumer, commercial, and SBA programs. You will evaluate financials, structure loans, and coordinate with customers and staff to meet timelines and regulatory requirements.

You will build strong client relationships, promote bank products, and contribute to branch goals through active sales and service excellence. A BA or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in evaluating financial statements, risk assessment, and loan underwriting.
• Strong ability to develop customers and cross-sell bank products.

Responsibilities

• Solicit and negotiate loans for consumer, residential, SBA, and commercial clients.
• Coordinate loan processing, ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze financial information and prepare financing requests for approval by senior staff.
• Maintain customer relationships and refer clients to appropriate staff for new services.
• Cross-sell other bank products and support branch goals and market presence.
